Implementation and Use Cases of Optical LAN

$265.00

This advanced masterclass builds upon attendees existing knowledge of Optical LAN to address specific use cases of the technology, design factors in unique environments, and integration with other complementary technologies. The masterclass will cover topics of integration including the various architectures of Optical LAN, migration to XGS-PON, high availability, communication protocols, and troubleshooting. Complementary technologies such as DAS, Wi-Fi, and IPTV will be discussed with consideration to physical layout and logical configuration. Specific use-cases will be brought to light with best practices for environments that include hospitality, education, senior living, healthcare, meeting rooms, and public spaces. Concepts covered in this masterclass assume the attendee has a solid understanding of Passive Optical LAN technology through experience or from attending the “Fundamentals of Passive Optical LAN” training. Attendees are encouraged to also attend “Fundamentals of Passive Optical LAN” to obtain a solid understanding of the underlying technology before attending this course. Prior work experience with Passive Optical LAN or alternate training may serve as a substitute.
