This masterclass will provide an introduction to the exciting and emerging world of wireless LAN (WLAN) technology. Wireless technology continues to expand at a rapid pace, with constant improvements in speed, performance, reliability, and security. This session will teach you some fundamentals of IEEE 802.11 standards-based wireless technology, providing an overview of the terminology, hardware and software components, radio frequency (RF) communication principles, and support and maintenance associated with WLAN technology, commonly referred to as Wi-Fi. The main goal is to provide an informative, easy-to-comprehend, and entertaining session that will offer a wealth of knowledge related to wireless networking technology. Technical demonstrations of different areas of wireless technology using commercial off-the-shelf tools will be utilized to emphasize key topics related to the Enterprise Wi-Fi Technician’s job functions.
